Explain clearly where data goes, what permissions do, and what the server is responsible for.
Task files, model configuration and Keychain-encrypted keys stay on your Mac. Conversation text and stage records are encrypted before server sync. Full tool output, private reasoning and original attachments are not uploaded. Back up important files.
Task context and tool materials will be sent to your selected model provider or local model API. Specific processing and billing rules are determined by that provider. Computer Use may send actual screenshots to vision-capable models.
Update checks receive version and platform information; anonymous usage statistics are off by default, and when enabled send a random device identifier, version, and task status. Feedback submits only the content you actively provide and the app version.
To limit abuse, the server records the IP source of feedback and uses daily limits per device and IP to control the number of sends. Full IPs are shown only in the private admin backend and are not disclosed to other users; IPs are removed from feedback records after 90 days. Session credentials are stored on this device or in the current browser; do not share them.
Screen recording permission is used for real screenshots, and accessibility permission is used to read the interface and perform mouse and keyboard operations. Regular chat does not require these permissions. You can revoke permissions in macOS System Settings or stop the task in BE AI.
The client verifies the release signature, installer size, and SHA-256; confirmation is required before installing an update. The download count represents the number of successful complete transfers, not the number of installers. The backend is accessed only through a dedicated local channel and does not provide a public admin login entry.
Please describe the records that need handling in the original feedback conversation. Do not send model keys, login passwords, or unmasked private files to the support team.
